The Tempest
Act 1 Scene 2
Here are two lines that I can understand and write down what they mean;
“Who was so firm, so constant, that his coil would not infect his reason” line 244/245, this line means-who is so steady that a disturbance couldn’t affect him.
“But a felt a fever of mad, and played some trick of desperation” line 257. This line means that some people there became mad, and took desperate actions
Here are two lines that I think are hard to figure out;
But that the sea, mounting to th’ welkin’s cheek
The very minute bids thee ope thine ear
Also, I have a few questions regarding this book;
Why does Shakespeare believe so much in magic?
What is Prospero planning to do with Ariel?
How is Prospero magical?
